We recently made 15 prints featuring artwork designed by Wes. These were hand screened by me and Mikee at Vinosangre onto recycled A3 card. They are also hand numbered and signed by Wes.

You can purchase these at our future shows or from our shop

Thursday 8 December 2011

Orders are now up in most places for our newest record, a split with Grazes.
500 copies, 200 on clear purple and 300 on clear green.
Records will be sent out hopefully in the middle of January.

This is self released alongside Grazes with help Dog Knights Records, Moshtache Records, Holy Roar, Enjoyment Records and Struggletown Records. You can get them from any of those labels or from our shop.

The songs on this record are the last few from the recording that we did at the start of this year.

I Want to Join a Suicide Cult by wearejackals

This song is written about the Church of Euthanasia, a political organisation/cult from the USA. The song essentially paraphrases some of the arguments they make.  Whilst the issues dealt with are important and the Church is interesting in itself- particularly the Dadaist way in which they engage with the issue of overpopulation, this song should not be taken as an endorsement of the Church or the arguments they make. The crux of the song is based on the slogan ‘Save the Planet, Kill Yourself’ which is a deliberately facetious attempt at drawing attention to overpopulation. The title itself comes from the Jerry Springer episode on which the Church of Euthanisa appeared in 1997.

The 1 in 12 needs your help...

http://www.freedompress.org.uk/news/2011/11/29/infamous-anarchist-club-needs-your-help/

Don't think 'infamous' is the right word, but other than that the article outlines why the 1 in 12 in Bradford is in need of your help. If you aren't aware of why the club is important in terms of the bands it has hosted, but also in general terms you should acquaint yourself with it's history. Obviously not everyone is in a position to help the club either in terms of finance or manpower, but spreading this link might help notify people who are. Additionally, the money from any orders we receive between now and this Friday from our bigcartel will be donated to the club.

We'll have a new release for sale on Friday as well, it's currently being pressed.

Monday 28 November 2011

We're now playing two shows before the end of the year, the Cambridge show with Human Junk on the 12th December, and with Napalm Death on the 18th December. It goes without saying how much we are looking forward to that one. It's probably the only chance you'll ever have to see us playing a venue that can hold more than 100 people. We have advance tickets for this as well without booking fees etc. so if you know one of us in person have a word, or alternatively you can email wwhrdzine@hotmail.co.uk.

This will be our first show of 2012. Wes designed the flyer. Ravachol are good friends of ours and both Lich and Bacchus are excellent bands. It's All Ages again thanks to Olives Cafe. We'll be looking at booking a few weekends in the first few months of next year as well as recording again.

Tuesday 22 November 2011

We've just put orders online for a new A3 print screened by VinoSangre, which will hopefully be the first of many. The artwork was featured on our side of the split 7" with Self Loathing and was designed by Wes. It's priced at £5 and will be printed onto white recycled heavy card, hand numbered and limited to 15. This is roughly what they should look like...

In order to make room for new shirts and fund new releases we've dropped the price of the remaining 'No Pasaran' design which were printed for our tour earlier this year. We also have some new badges featuring a reworked version of the above design.

All the above, as well as our most recent records can all be purchased here. Another release is going to press this week and details of that are forthcoming.

Sunday 13 November 2011

These are the last couple of shows we have planned for this year.

Tuesday 25 October 2011

The only gigs we have planned for the rest of the year are this Friday (28th October) in Ipswich and 25th November in Brighton. Full details are in the 'shows' section as always. We might end up playing a couple more but don't have much planned yet.

The last few shows, in Kingston and back in Norwich were excellent. We are looking to play in some new places early next year, details of that will be up when we get round to sorting them out.

We should have another new record going to press in the coming few days/weeks and details of that will be up here as soon as they are finalised. Additionally we are currently finishing up a few songs ready to record again so we should have a few more releases early next year.

Here are a couple of photos from the Kingston show with Punch etc.

There are a load more pictures from the show here if you're into that sort of thing.

Wednesday 21 September 2011

Another split is in the works. We've had our songs for a while but the band we are doing it with just recorded their side. Hopefully it'll be out before the end of the year.

We played a couple of gigs this weekend, one in Ashford, Kent which was an alldayer of sorts with lazers on the stage, although sadly not when we played. It was good, but as is often the case the soundman was utterly inept and we had to wait 15 minutes in a shop for some chips. We played Norwich the day after with No Fun who are a new band from Norwich with an average age of about 11 and Closure, which was good.

Our next show is this Friday...

Man Hands have also been added to the show, they're good.

We've got a few more shows lined up for the coming weeks as well, with hopefully one or two more to be added. You can see them all in the 'shows' section of the blog.

We did a load of practices this last week and have quite a few new songs. They are the best stuff we've done so far and will be recorded at some point soon, at which time we should have more details of what will happen with them.

Tuesday 16 August 2011

We played in Penzance on Saturday and made some covers for it so we could sell our split with No Coast. The standard covers were apparently affected by the recent riots in London. They should be done fairly soon though and on their way in the post for anyone who has ordered a copy within a week or two. We'll also have some to sell online ourselves and at future shows with the standard covers. A few copies of the version we sold on Sunday are available to buy from http://moshtacherecords.bigcartel.com/ and here is what they look like...

Cheers to anyone who came to the show on Sunday or contributed to it. Was worth the 16 hour round trip.

Tuesday 9 August 2011

The records for our split with No Coast are done. Dog Knights is just waiting on the covers to be finished and they will be posted out soon. If you haven't already ordered one you can do so from http://dogknightsproductions.bigcartel.com/

We should have our copies soon and hopefully will be selling them this Sunday at this show...

Take Everything by wearejackals

I just got round to putting up a track from our split with No Coast, which you can pre-order from Dog Knights

Monday 11 July 2011

Tour was great. We met a lot of good people and played with some cool bands. Thanks to anyone who helped us out in any way. Thanks also to Arooj for filling in pretty much flawlessly on guitar for most of the dates. We have some left over shirts which look like this...

As you can see, they work well with short shorts. You can get them from http://www.whatwouldhenryrollinsdo.bigcartel.com/ alongside our split with Self Loathing, which is 'officially' out today. If you ordered a copy of the record already they should be on their way to you.

In an excellent turn of events our next release is now available to pre-order as well. It's a split with our friends in No Coast. This is being released by Dog Knights who as usual have provided various pre-order options, this time with acetate covers for any nerds that might be interested in such things. These should be ready in about a months time. Get them here... http://www.dogknightsproductions.bigcartel.com/

You can hear one of our songs from this release (all 25 seconds of it) at http://dogknightsproductions.bandcamp.com/album/dk015-no-coast-jackals-split

As for what is next, we have another split in the works and are writing some new songs which should be ready to record sooner rather than later. We have one show in August in Penzance and we are going to Europe in September.

Wednesday 11 May 2011

We've finally got a date for when the first of our new records will be finished. Pre-orders for that will be available in a few weeks. When they go up, we'll have full details of that record alongside a couple of other future plans, release shows etc.  and actual evidence of the new songs so you can decide whether they are worth buying.

We are looking to do a couple of short tours this Summer/Autumn. One in the UK (hopefully including Scotland) between the 2nd-10th July. The other will be in September, from around the 10th/11th until the 18th and we hope to get over to Europe for that one. If you'd be interested in helping us out with a show then please get in touch with us at wwhrdzine@hotmail.co.uk

Hopefully we'll have a few other shows here and there as well.

Last Weekend

Was excellent. If you came to see us, thank you. Cheers also to everyone who sorted us a show and to all the bands we played with, not that any of them will read this.

We don't have any shows sorted in the near future, but we are planning a tour in early July. We'll also have plenty going on before then, and should finally be able to talk about new songs and new releases in a matter of days.

April Weekender

We are playing a few shows early next month around the weekend of the 8th, 9th and 10th of April, as well as a few other shows that week, details of which can be found on our 'Shows' page. We are still in the process of sorting a couple of shows so if anyone wishes to help us out get in touch at wwhrdzine@hotmail.co.uk

We're also looking to play some more shows over the summer so if anyone has any other offers do get in touch. Hopefully we'll soon be in the process of arranging a UK tour of some sort and any help with this will be appreciated.

In other news, we should have a new song and details of a new release posted on here in the next few days.

Saturday 26 February 2011

Deptford and Brighton

The last couple of shows were probably some of the best we have played so far. Thanks to anyone who came and watched us and to our brothers in Baptists (RIP), Kasa, No Coast and Maths. Also to Kev and Darren for sorting the shows, much appreciated.

We're currently sorting some shows last minute for next weekend with Grazes. We've already got one lined up in Hull, which is an all-dayer on the Sunday and the others should be confirmed soon.

New songs are almost finished in terms of mixing, so we should have a new song up here soon. Also around the same time we can (finally) put up some details of how they will be released. So if you are interested, look out for that.

Our first 7" is close to selling out. Holy Roar, Dog Knights and a couple of other places are getting a final few copies to sell, and we also have a few left via www.whatwouldhenryrollinsdo.bigcartel.com and at future shows. Also we've reduced the price for some of our t-shirts in order to make way for our spring/summer collection and we have some patches up for cheap.

Sunday 30 January 2011

Recording is finished. The new songs are our best material to date. Mixing and Mastering will be done over the next few days/weeks. Once finished and details of releases are finalised we will reveal all, including evidence of the new songs.

We have another show confirmed for February. We will play the Riverside Cafe Bar in Sheffield on 24th February (the day before we play Brighton) with Times Together, Control, End Reign and Bays.

Tuesday 18 January 2011

Recording

We are recording at the end of this month. We have around 9 or 10 new tracks ready and the plan is for those to come out over the course of a few months via a number of split 7"s, details of which will be provided soon. We will also be playing various shows in support of these releases, and information of these will also be provided in due course.
